Serving opportunities


treeKids:

  • Infant & Preschool Volunteer - This position may include overseeing preschool classrooms, ensuring the completion of attendance and service reports, delivering a short lesson, providing children with a snack, and ensuring the safety of children while under their care. (Female volunteers will change diapers as needed).

  • Elementary Volunteer - This position may include overseeing elementary classrooms, ensuring the completion of attendance and service reports, presenting the lesson and answering questions to help the children understand the truth of God's love, guiding and encouraging children during praise & worship, praying with them, leading by example, and ensuring the safety of children while under their care.

  • Check-In Volunteer - This position greets guests as they enter the children's wing, assists families with checking in children, answers any questions families may have, directs families to the appropriate classrooms, ensures the safety in the children's wing by monitoring the hallways, and provides support to classrooms if needed (holding a baby, pushing a buggy etc.).

  • A/V Support Volunteer - The A/V Support team records and documents services, special events, etc., uses audio/video equipment, and takes photos.

  • Office Support Volunteer - Office Support helps prepare crafts, organize the office, and does various office tasks throughout the week.

  • Gear Shop Volunteer - This position may include monitoring inventory, going on purchasing trips, cleaning and maintaining cabinets, overseeing the gear shop and the volunteers who work it, and scheduling the volunteers.

All Support and Volunteer positions will have the responsibility to attend volunteer meetings, attend church services on a regular basis as well as praying for the children, their families and other volunteers so that we can partner with families to connect kids to Christ.

Tree Student Ministries

  • Student Ministries Volunteer  - As a volunteer in Student Ministries, you will be involved with Students from 6th through 12th grade.  Positions include: Check-In, Small Group Leader, Greeter, Audio/Visual, Teacher, etc., but all are important for the growth of the Students of Tree of Life Church.

  • High School Small Group Leader - This position is for adult male and female (age 18 & up) small group leaders for High School students. High School Small Groups meet on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00 PM at Tree of Life. Curriculum is provided. 

  • Student Ministries Worship Team - As a vocalist or musician, you will be directly involved by leading the Students in worship on Wednesday Nights.  Worship team members are on a rotating schedule and will be required to attend rehearsals and sound checks only on weeks when they are scheduled.

First Impressions

  • Ushers - As an Usher, you will have the responsibility of doing the following, but not limited to, greeting guests as they enter the Main Auditorium, assist guests with seating, facilitate the offering, and assist in safeguarding a distraction-free environment.

  • Greeters - As a Greeter, you will have the responsibility of welcoming guests as they enter different areas of our campus buildings.

  • Guest Host - As a Guest Host, you will welcome and assist those who are new to Tree by escorting them to either the Main Auditorium or the Tree Kids wing, pointing out pertinent areas of our campus along the way.

  • First Contact - This position assists with the placement and removal of Sunday morning sign boards, assists guests with parking spot location, greets guests and answers questions, and facilitates safe traffic patterns in the parking lot.

  • Connect Center - This position assists in connecting people with Tree and provides information for events such as Growth Track, Life Groups, and Water Baptism, as well as signing up to serve.

  • All-Star Central Team - This position welcomes, thanks and checks in volunteers that are serving each Sunday. In addition, you will stock snacks and prepare Keurig for use each Sunday. You get to serve those who serve others.

Worship Arts

  • Vocalist - As a vocalist in the Worship Arts Ministry, you will be involved in serving the church by leading the congregation in worship on Sundays and/or Wednesdays. Vocalists are on a rotating schedule and are required to attend rehearsals, sound checks only on weeks when they are scheduled.

  • Musician - As a musician in the Worship Arts Ministry, you will be involved in serving the church by leading the congregation in worship on Sundays and/or Wednesdays.

Production & Media:

  • Audio Assistant - The audio assistant helps with various tasks such as setup and tear down of audio gear and assisting during services and events.

  • Video Switcher - As the switcher, this person is responsible for cueing the correct camera angles (proper framing and exposure) and calling for media elements as needed for the flow of a service.

  • Media Operator - The media operator cues and sets up the video and graphic elements needed for a given service; they also cue up text and visual elements for the speakers.

  • Lighting Technician - This position requires that you have the rhythm to cue lighting sequences in time with the tempo of the songs being performed. They also set the stage lighting-wise for any given portion of the service.

  • Camera Operator - Simply put, the camera operator takes calls from the video switcher to achieve a desired look and visual frame (i.e. mid-shot, close-up, pan).

Helps Ministry

  • Medical Team - This unit of health care providers serves to triage basic medical attention to our guests in the event of an accident or emergency at Tree.

Missions Ministry

  • Missions Café - As a Missions Café team member, you will assist with Sunday morning hospitality and help raise funds that are used locally and globally to meet needs and connect families to the life, love and power of Jesus.  Choose from our many opportunities preparing and serving food and drinks on the Sunday of your choice.
